We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion and operation of our WASH project in Saripul Province of Afghanistan, overcoming challenges posed by floods and heavy rains. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our team, we provided over 2,500 families in Kohistanat district with access to clean and healthy water by constructing three large water supply networks meeting global standards. This effort has prevented various diseases and allowed children, previously burdened with fetching water, to return to school.
Additionally, we constructed 120 latrines and conducted hygiene promotion awareness sessions, distributing 1,250 hygiene and water kits. The people of Kohistanat district have expressed their satisfaction with this network, and we are grateful for their cooperation. Moreover, CICA controlled the flow of water from the springs to prevent wastage and connected it to the network after purification and testing, ensuring the efficient use of water resources.
