About CICA Canada
CICA Canada is developing its approach to community support in Ontario, with an emphasis on inclusion, practical learning and access to opportunities. Our planned work will focus on newcomer support and digital skills and employment readiness.
As these programmes take shape, we aim to work with local organisations and community members to understand needs and develop relevant activities.
Our planned programmes
Two programme areas will guide the development of CICA’s community activities in Ontario.
Helping newcomers and refugees navigate community life, build connections and find relevant local services.
Supporting practical digital learning and preparation for the job search, with a planned focus on newcomers, women and youth.
Planning update: These programmes are not yet open for registration. Activities, eligibility, schedules and delivery locations will be announced once arrangements are confirmed.
Our approach
We aim to create welcoming learning spaces that respect different backgrounds and experiences.
Our planned activities will focus on useful skills and clear information for everyday life and the job search.
We intend to build connections with local organisations and develop activities informed by community needs.
